Mission for Patrick Cryne............find someone to purchase Barnsley Football Club

Ok, we will be forever gratefull that you came to the club when you did and saved it.
But it is obvious after the transfer debacle that you have NOT got the funds to take the club forward.
We sold a player yesterday that is worth more than the value of the 4 players that were brought in.
So yesterday Barnsley Football Club made a net profit at a time when we are in a relegation position.
You said on Radio Sheffield that we needed to strengthen the squad.
Two days later we sell our best player ???

The only way forward from here is to try to find someone who will purchase the club and is willing to put funds into the team to enable it to secure Championship status. From this the number of fans attending Oakwell should increase and the club will then be in a better position to move forward.

Certainly the decision to sell him contradicts his interview this week when he talked about Ritchie not having enough ambition.

I do not believe that the club had any option in selling McIndoe. HE WANTED TO GO AND WAS PREPARED TO HOLD THE CLUB TO RANSOM IF THEY DID NOT LET HIM GO.

And, pray tell. Who is there that has the interests of the club at heart eg PC, with more money than him? I'm quite sure that PC will fund signings as and when required.

The squad HAS been strengthened.

We don't know the situation, and never will. Early indications are that macca wanted to go, and end of day I would wave goodbye to any player in this squad that doesn't want to be here.
Just because we sold Macca doesn't mean that we don't have any money either. The club (GS) could have seen a unhappy player and took advantage of the situation.

Just to add, I am disapointed that Macca went but this is football players come and go.

1- transfer debacle?? you have been going on and on and on about strengthening our squad...we brought in 4 players yesterday and let our weakest striker go hows that a debacle??
2- mcindoe wanted to go...why keep a player at the club when hes no intention of helping the club he plays for and just trying to get the best deal for himself...some will say theres no harm it that but wheres the loyalty??

We won't know until January who is right about the money situation, but based on yesterday alone I would bet my house on the fact PC is right rather than AR (and that is from someone who backed AR!!).

A large amount of fans need to get it into there heads that Macca wanted to go. I don't care if he is the best player for this club or in the world, if he wanted to leave then GOODBYE!!!! Well done GS and PC for making the most of the situation. It's been a hard week for the club but Im sure we are in a better position.
