Good lord, how ignorant. The town is not "****" by any stretch, especially up towards the town hall. There's some great pubs like the Old No. 7 and Courthouse, although one guy on there tbf mentioned some "lovely" pubs in the villages nearby. And as for a **** ground, it's one of the best in the division and one of the few of it's size that isn't a soulless bowl. Like theirs for a start. Oh and geography doesn't seem to be a strong point either: It's literally 20 minutes on the faster trains, and there's a pub in the station ffs. Not normally one to seethe about stuff like this but there's ignorance and then there's ignorance.
Having had a proper look, it's only 1 or 2 that have had a pop, and they're probably too dim to see the irony in their statements about Barnsley being a s**thole , having no decent pubs and poor train links.

I suppose the pathetic 100 or so fans that make the trip from MK will look lost in our away end. should put them in the west upper I had a night out in MK with friends from there in July, on our way down to Cornwall. Its fecking crap. How they can slag Barnsley when they live in that place i will never know. I think if some of them actually decided to spend the night in Barnsley they would have a good night, no need to **** off into pigland. im not from Barnsley so have unbiased views and I think Barnsley's a good night out.
