Fair do's you are entitled to your own opinions - but.........</p> What the hell has Richards done wrong today? I thought any of our players could have had MotM today and wouldnt have looked out of place - including Rico. He didnt score, yes, neither did Chopra. His workrate after the first half hour was excellent. Workrate doesnt score you goals I know, but if the team were to play like that the rest of the season, then im certain we wont be in the bottom 3 come May.</p> Everyone of our players can be proud of themselves today. Every single one.</p> Some of you lot are never happy - we have a Championship team here - on merit. there are loads of clubs who would love to have a club like ours, even certain Championship clubs. I am proud of what we are achieving here. Some of you lot should be too.</p>
RE: "Some of you lot should be too" I think you'll agree that the majority of posters this afternoon and evening concur with that judgement. I only listened to the commentary today but I'm confident that performances to today's standard, together with what I see as a likely couple of loan signings, will see us acquit ourselves well in this division. Joking aside, I'm disappointed with today's result but resolutely optimistic about our prospects for the season.
Isn't most of what is being posted "constructive criticism"? We wasted good opportunities to score - better finishing would have got us something out of the game.
"Isn't most of what is being posted "constructive criticism"? "</p> Not from certain quarters, no. Maybe from some, but these arent who my comments were aimed at. And, yes, we did waste a LOT of opportunities to score, but do people honestly think that players miss on purpose? Richards, Hayes and Devaney all know that better finishing could have given us at least a point. But all they can do is perform to the best of their abilities, and for what its worth, I think they did.</p>
Richards played well today I believe I might be a lone voice here, but the one who just doesn't cut it for me is Hayes. Flamboyant maybe, effective no. However the poorest today was Devaney - he was totally ineffective. Hurry up and get better Nardiello the best striker on the books.
RE: Richards played well today You are entitled to that opinion mate. But I do think Hayes is vital to us this season. Its already been said on here today, but as easily as anything, he could have had 3 assists today. Great balls played into dangerous areas.
RE: Richards played well today Didnt really understand Ritchies thinking in bringing on Wright and putting McIndoe on the right wing, he should have given that McParland a go. Great to hear the ponty in full voice again, shame it probably wont continue, anyone else disappointed that the attendance was only 12,082. With a decent sized away following too.
Cain mate some people won't be happy until we have to rely on a last minute goal from Rankin to keep us out of the bottom division, then they can say'told you so'</p> I really enjoyed the game today, and yes we need a striker but there was approx 4,000 fans at the end cheering them off a game we lost. Last year they didn't get that when we won. </p>
Yer right mate.</p> I too really enjoyed the game, even though we lost. Im spurred on for the rest of the season after witnessing that today.</p>
The players were magnificent today, really enjoyed the game. Both Hayes and Richards played really well and our mid-field looks to be better than last season. we were unlucky! having a bad ref and linesmen. If i have one grip to make, i would say that our defence looked a little bit streched at times, but on the whole a fine performance. We do need to strenthen up front and possibly a defender. If we do that then i am sure we would have nothing to fear in this league.
RE: Richards played well today what 1,600 according to the anouncer that leaves 10,400 tarn fans, not bad some still on holidays etc

Oh yes, the ref...... 2 penalty appeals turned down. Im not certain both were deliberate handballs, but im quite sure 1 of them was.
RE: Oh yes, the ref...... If the ball hits a hand that's shoulder high or higher, it's a penalty in my eyes - even if the ball is struck from 6 inches away. What is the hand DOING there?
