After sitting through that game yesterday and hearing the attendance I was absolutely disgusted that we can only muster up 10,000 fans for what was arguably the biggest home league game of the season. Then Fans moan like **** that they can't get a ticket for Wembley or can't get a ticket for Anfield etc.. As we only have 10,000 fans the club ought to have gave everyone 1 tkt and sent the other 23,000 back! If you cant be arsed to watch Barnsley v Sheff Utd then dont bother coming to wembley. Im dreading a day of sitting down there with some ***** tellig me that Clarky ought to bring Glavin on!

As for the game, how the **** did we lose? Should have had 3 pens too! the officials again were *****, that was a right smash and grab for the blades.

    An alternative view

Perhaps if the club had treated fans better over ticketing for the big games the fans may have been more disposed to turn out to watch league matches.

dont use the ticketing for an excuse getting tired of that now. Another reason would be the fact it was all ticket and those that decided on the morning or day before could'nt get if they wanted. Bottom line is fans dont care too much anymore end of, i have to admit to sometimes not been up for it infact yesterday was a push to get there but i get there and was'nt moved in any way same old predictable football. Nice attractive play at times no end product.

the problem was the same we have had all season back 4 solid midfield creating howard awesum as ever ,final third of the field feckin inept ,dont blame the ref for the first, the linesman was 10 yards away had a clear view, speed ragged fosters shirt off, fecking blatant , linesmans call ,couldnt clearly see the decision in the second half but sharp showed us how to finish, i agree it was smash and grab and yes i agree with u the feckin wembley wonders ought to **** off where were they yesterday and all we ever here on here is about how many tickets us season ticket holders keep getting we deserve it cause we there every fecking week

    Try

At least £35 for a ticket for Wembley and then another £30 to get there.

And then find another £20 at least to watch that *****.

    People's money is not endless.

I was there yesterday, as I have been for nearly all this seasons matches at Oakwell. So have my sister, father and grandfather. We'd like tickets for Wembley but I doubt we'll get them as were not season ticket holders.

Judging from yesterdays attendance I'd say we're in the minortybeing non season ticket holders who attend matches and thats why the club didnt include a category for fans with x amount of stubs. All the people we know with season tickets are giving their tickets to family members or other mates who rarely go to Oakwell.

I feel for people like (Wowsam) but unfortunatley this is the gamble of not getting a season ticket, but in all fairness how many times do we get draws like this!

No matter what the club does in the ticketing situation you will always have unhappy people.

Hope you get a ticker Wowsam

We lost because of the crap we have brought in to play up front, our strike force isnt even good enough for league one, without Howards goals we would have been in league one already.

agreed, when we score at wembley itl go like this...

    10,000 will go ballistic

12,000 will turn to each other and ask if its barnsley who's scored

5,000 will be too busy taking photographs of the arch and won't give a f*$k whats happening on the pitch

    and..

7,000 will be wishing it was their beloved arsenal, man utd or liverpool who wa playing at wembley

Cant believe some of the utter tools who post on here. Some of us have more in life than a football team to follow every week. I've got a ticket for Wembley and I,ve been to 1 game this season and came out at half time at the Wendy game because it was so boring. I've done my share of following the reds over the years and will now just go the big games. Christ, get it into your heads, Barnsley will never have a following above 10,000. What about the mid eighties to the premier season averaging 6,000. The game is fecked, paying to watch overpaid t@ats who couldn't care less about the team they're playing for and sat watching it amongst scarf waving, jester hat wearing, boring t@ats like a lot of folk who post on here. Get a life you sad pricks!

If it wasn't for the 10,000 the town wouldn't have/need a football team.

In your opinion does a town having a football team matter ?

Too many people on here are up there own arses. There used to be no one as passionate as me following Barnsley up and down the country, but things in life change ffs, even If I wanted to, I haven't the time or money to watch the reds every week, and I dont need any oily 17 year old students coming on here calling me a part-timer just because they've a fecking season ticket and camp out overneet for tickets.
I am going to Wembley and going to enjoy it and yes I'll be gutted if we lose but ffs thats it and I wont be going to another game this season at Oakwell and so will 20,000 others who'll be at Wembley.

I'm nearly 50 and I have been going for far too long,

if you don't go that's up to you, but to be-little the 10,000 that do go is not very diplomatic to say the leastas if it wasn't for them there'd be no club which means you wouldn't get your day out.

Just my opinion, BTW I'm from Birdwell, do I know you ? PM me if you like.
