What are the major differences between the Ws and the Ks? From a 12 year old's point of view is the K750i a good phone? (Games, MP3, camera,video etc)</p>

K750i is a good phone. You'll need a bigger memory card 1gb to store more than 20 songs. Games are ok, it's got radio too. Camera is also quality. Only problem is that joystick gets a bit iffy after a year or so.

 

I have had a K and a W, but the only difference I have noticed is the software. The W (walkman) series has better software built in, easier to arrange your MP3's. basically, thats it. From my experience anyway.

 

Pretty much what they say, the WS is all about image really, for a 12 year old the k750i should be fine....unless she's joined the 'it crowd' at school.

 

From a 12 year old's point of view

Just get them a cheap, basic phone - they'll only end up losing/breaking it!

Just bought the music cable for £7 so it'll play all the mp3's through the hifi.

 

On a related note, any recommendations on general phone deals, Don? The missus is coming to the end of a contract with E2Save, and their cashbacks are a nightmare - anyone else trusted for cashbacks with decent deals on?

 

Unfortunately E2Save took a bit of a dive over the last few months. What sort of phone is she looking for?

MobileShop are currently behaving themselves and have some decent cashback deals. Carphone Warehouse are now giving you a massive 2 month window to get your vouchers in and seem to be the best bet at the moment. Don't forget to click through Quidco for extra money back.</p>

Another approach is with Boots Phones, it's handled by another company but it's reasonable to expect they'll honour their promises. You can get all your money back in Boots vouchers.</p>
