I recently lost a Nokia N73, l didn't have it insured. Cheapest l have seen one for is around £150, my girlfriend as recently purchased one of these on upgrade and to get it insured you have to take it into the shop, does anyone know if l will be able to take her phone into the shop with my sim in it and get the insurance then give her the phone back and report mine lost/stolen in three months and get a new one back? Do they take codes of the phone?
they would probably check the imei number or serial number anyway and know it wasn't your phone to insure. you could just get your lass to claim for her phone but.....i lost my phone and and reported it lost and got a new one. but i had to give my imei number of my lost phone when claiming. i then found my old phone under one of the kids beds. but this phone is now only good as a toy because it has been disabled. if you know any dodgy people who can change the imei number then you could use it. but changing it is illegal and has a maximum prison sentance of 5 years.
