After some techy advice. Can I transfer a sim card from a Samsung phone into an iPhone? (Samsung galaxy core prime to an iphone5s to be exact) And if so will I lose all my stuff on my phone such as contacts photos emails etc? Obviously I will have to set up my apps again such as Facebook whatsapp etc Any help appreciated but please reply to me as if i was five years old as i am a proper technophobe.
You'll need to ask your network provider for a replacement 'nano' SIM to fit in the iPhone 7. Your Samsung uses a larger micro SIM which doesn't fit. It's usually free, but they may charge. It is possible to cut the SIM down to nano size, but I wouldn't risk knackering the SIM or your iPhone SIM slot. Check first if the SIM you have can pop out to a nano. Most modern ones do, but you say it's 5 year old, so maybe not. If you've got your Samsung setup right, you should be syncing your contacts to google. You can set you iPhone to sync its contacts, calendar and photos to the same google account. That's what I do. Phones no longer save contacts to the SIM card. That was way back when, with the old Nokia type phones.
Depends what Samsung you have some use nanos some use Micro. If it's a newish one probably yes if older probably no.
Sounds SIM ple. But like Jack it's all Greek to me. The most frustrating sight in the country today is young people walking aimlessly forward, phone at eye level completely and utterly oblivious to their immediate surroundings texting with a benign smile on their face and bumping into everyone around them as they do it. Read in one of the papers yesterday that an incident like that happened down south and the female texter looked up and gave the person she'd walked into a rollicking saying she should look where she's walking and then just carried on with her texting. Absolutely amazing.
