Made an amazing diving clearing header from a cross that prevented an almost certain goal. Just thought I'd mention that.

We were talking about that on the train on the way home...it really was top, top defending, and I think you're right, probably did save a certain goal

as did souza but again together they showed their weakness, ie no pace and on saturday it cost us a man, in previous games it has cost us goals

Rigters cost us the man by losing the ball in midfield. The through ball was perfect and not many centre halves would have got to it. Moore made a good decision in the end having been put into an impossible situation.

    The mistake was by Rigters.
    I like Moore.
He sacrificed himself to save the game for us - that's where experience comes in.
It was selfless and the right thing to do.
At 2 nil down the game was lost to us.
Thank god he did as he did.
    I thank him.

shame he didnt bother to mark the lad in question

then the diving header might not have been needed

    RE: hehe

lol just putting another spin on it, was a brilliant header no doubt about that, just saying with all last ditch defending it stems from poor defending to start with.

    does it?

    Not the midfield then?

    or

    Forwards losing posession?

    or even

    Give the opposition some credit?

    RE: does it?

i was talking about defending in general not just the defenders, last time i checked it was a team game, and hardly giving the oppo credit for a cross to a unmarked player.

    which unmarked player?

Did JCR score bcause of his dazzling skill, pace and determination or was it incompetent defending / goal keeping?

    ditto Hume

    Nothing is that simple.

Darren Moore is a centre half, the cross came in and he dealt with it exactly how he should have.

i know i was making a general point, the best thing moore did was take one for the team! and fair play to him, hopefully we can we play our best back four from now on

I don't think the problem is entirely down to him

It's the fact that a natural centre half is playing at right back, which gives us an imbalance.

I know it worked last season, but Foster looks very uncomfortable on the right now.
