    I take the point that he's not had a prolific year prior to this one. I take the point that Ipswich don't seem keen on giving him a 2nd chance.

    What I will say is that he's up to match sharpness, scoring regularly albeit in the league below, and he's at the right age to be physically ready to make an immediate impact if he is indeed good enough.

    This time next year £750k might seem a bargain. It might seem like a gamble that was worth taking, or it might look a waste. We won't know unless we give the lad a go.

    Personally I think it's a worthwhile signing.

    It’s a suck it and see signing. Adam Armstrong scored goals for fun in L1 but struggled with us. Looking forward to seeing how it develops though.

    At face value he gives us a very different option to what's here at the mo.

    As regards fees & wages, I tend to ignore Twitter teen freaks in their bedrooms pontificating. And the Peterborough chairman likes a good wind up.

    He’s definitely different to owt we’ve got. Have to wait and see if he’s any cop at this level. I remember loads bairnin when we signed Fletch. Re. the 750. **** it. We’ve got cash to spend, and if he bangs another 10 goals in this season, he’ll be a 2m player by the end of it

    True - I hope not as well, but at least if the ball sticks with him we have an option to get shut early rather than watch it bounce off ikkle Tom when we bray it long.
