BARNSLEY defender Neil Austin is set to end an eight-week first-team exile in tonight's televised Champion-ship match at Stoke.
Austin is poised to replaced banned right-back Bobby Hassell at the Britannia Stadium.

The 23-year-old has recovered from a groin injury. His last game for Barnsley was in the FA Cup tie at Southend on January 6.

Hassell is suspended for accumulating five yellow cards.

Barnsley boss Simon Davey will be tempted to make a further change to his back four.

Adam Eckersley, on loan from Manchester United, is fit again and looks likely to replace Paul Heckingbottom at left-back.

Goalkeeper Nick Colgan returns to the team tonight. He hobbled out of the 3-0 win over Hull six days ago with a calf injury. Former Sheffield Wednesday keeper David Lucas was given his debut in that match.

"Nick is performing well and he has got the shirt, I will change that if I see fit. Nick will play at Stoke," Davey explained.

Barnsley's Hungarian strikers, Peter Rajczi and Istvan Ferenczi, are also definite starters.

Ferenczi has three goals from his first two starts for the club.

Said Davey: "Both have proven track records as goalscorers.

"We hoped they could bring that to the Championship, we've seen it on the training pitch.

"We needed them to hit the ground running and they've done that even thought they had not played a competitive game since December."

Daniel Nardiello is out of action tonight serving a three- match ban following his red card at Southampton. He will also miss Saturday's home game with Norwich City.

Meanwhile, Barnsley's Paul Hayes almost had a dream start to his loan spell at Huddersfield. In the first 10 minutes of the game against Crewe he hit the post with a right-foot shot.

    Huddersfield were beaten 2-1.

Davey went to watch Nicky Wroe on Saturday at Bury. Wroe is on loan there and played in a 3-0 defeat by Peterborough.

Barnsley defender Ryan Laight has returned from Tamworth. His loan there has ended following a change of management.

There will be a minute's silence before kick-off tonight following the death of Stoke's record goalscorer, John Ritchie. He was 65.
