Yesterday, bold as brass, Mr Rat paid my back garden a visit, paying particular attention to my bin which has not been collected for a fortnight. I have done the decent thing and written to the council, my MP and Grahem Greene to protest and to Bill Oddie to see if he wants to do a wildlife program from my back garden and also tramped off to Burke and Quaid for some mighty rat traps. Last night the first blow against the rodents was struck and the battle lines have been drawn. Mr Small Rat is dead and his brothers and sisters are just casualties waiting to happen.
So, you see, smells CAN be a risk to public health. It's ridiculous, in this weather leaving the bins unemptied for that long. My worry as well, is the fact that last year, they stopped the green bin collections in winter. If they stop them this year, our grey bin is going to be piled high with cardboard etc.. I've nothing against the geen bins, but they surely MUST start emptying the grey bins weekly again.
I think the council are playing the old pied piper trick Introduce a scheme guarenteed to increase the numbers of rats in the region and then charge us to get rid of them. Great socialist values from Mrs. Morgan and Mr. Miller once more.
