    It was when i played in the 16 to 18 league for Birdwell Rover
    we lost in the Final at Worboro Bridge to woolley 6 5
    it was the end of the season
    and an annual games was played between Barnsley and Sheffield hallam
    i was chosen as reserve for barnsley
    and we went to Oakwell to play barnsley reserves
    whil i was stood in the entrance to the Pitch ,Angus Seed said to me Go Home and get some horse muck in you boots
    i never got on the pitch
    BUT playibg fro Barnsley Reserves was a Local lad of the Arear well Know in footy leagues he was called JACK OWEN
    he scored a cracker from the Half way line
    i was later in Life to be in the Same team as Jack Owen

    Oh Yes
    it was at the Coal face at Barrow
