Would be a very uninspiring appointment. There’s nothing about the bloke that tells me he’s cut out for management at professional football level, especially league 1. The only thing he’s got going for him is the club he’s currently at. It would be a massive gamble, an experiment even, but nows not the time for such gambles.

Rather stick with Devaney to be honest.

My number one from the names listed in the media.

Think he would be a good fit for our squad really.

Duff Devaney ...... wouldn't get through the doors at Carrington to do the teas

I feel like Duff will be a manager/head coach in the championship (and possibly premier league) before Ramsay.

I don’t think Ramsay is what we need right now.

Fresh. Modern approach. someone the players will respect and listen to. They will have a connection to the Head coach.
Will want to play the right way. Will want to improve players and himself and when he leaves the club will be in a good position.

Ten Haag clearly wants this guy which tells you he isn't a bad coach because from listening to what people have said he's a pep type and doesn't give a **** about peoples feelings.

    who with?
It wouldn't be surprised if ends up with neither Blackpool or Barnsley and gets sacked in November.

Pretty disrespectful, especially of Duff. He's got nearly 650 games under his belt as a player and 200+ as a manager, with a win rate of >40%. And that's 200 games of proper men's football, not a 30-year old coach who was brought to Man Utd to practise free-kicks on a training ground. I'm acutely aware of your views on experience, and obsession with youth and youth coaching, but I really think you ought to afford more respect to people who have earned their stripes by doing the actual job.

Ramsay looks great on paper however I can't help thinking of the managerial experiences of Ian Cathro, Paul Clement, Shaun Maloney et al

It's Football Marc. Chris Armas wasn't new to football. 250 pro games. Did well at NYRB. Get gone was the message I think from the first team at Manchester United.

Why will the players respect & listen to him? What’s he achieved in the game so far?

''What’s he achieved in the game so far?''

    What does that matter.

If he's got a modern approach and can connect to the players.

Why did Ted Lasso have people laughing at him at Carrington and ER the next Coach wanting him to stay?

Achivements in the past mean nothing Marc to the new set of players.

    Its about the connection.

Remember Rafa at Real Madrid. Champions League winner with Liverpool before.
Madrid players went from laughing at him to a meeting with the president and told Perez he needs to go ASAP.

The one and only reason Hemsy picked him is because of the club he currently is employed by. Same reason he become warm and fuzzy when Frimpong joined as a player. He doesn’t think experience plays a part in football

but duff has proved that he's able to do that. Ramsay hasn't. he might do, but he's achieved nothing yet. duff has. in his first full season as a manager he got cheltenham to the play offs. in his second he got them automatic promotion. he's won 40% of his 200 games. how do you do that if you don't have a connection with the players?

and fk knows what ted lasso has to do with anything...
