HARRY REDKNAPP will rejoin Portsmouth within the next 48 hours. Redknapp, 58, walked out on Southampton on Friday and has admitted he should never have left Fratton Park. The former West Ham boss said: "I had some of the best times of my life with Portsmouth and I cannot think what possessed me to leave. "After about a week at Southampton I knew I had made a mistake. I didn't realise the rivalry was so strong. "I can understand how the Portsmouth fans felt about me joining Southampton. "I was wrong and I regret it, but show me somebody who never makes a mistake and I will show you a liar. "I know I am going to be under enormous pressure going back and so is the chairman Milan Mandaric. "He will have to show an awful lot of bottle. "But I won't be doing it to fill my pockets. I'm not going back to an easy job, I'm going back to a tough job and will sign only a six-month contract."
He is at best a has been , more correctly he is a never been. If pompey sign him up , I hope they get relegated.
Doesn't it make you sick that these dickheads in charge of football don't realise what actually drives the fans?</p> "I didn't realise the rivalry was so strong."</p> FFS</p> I hope Portsmouth tell him to f*** off</p>
I'm sure he DID relise the rivalry was so strong. A good used car salesman our Harry. How many chairmen has he fallen out with now?
quick question.. when Danny left us for Wendy, would we have took him back after 6 months? of course we wouldve...
Lawrie Sanchez close to taking Pompey job. Mandaric has made formal approach. Sanchez will manage Pompey and still keep on his NI job. Harry set for quite a bit of golf over the next few months. Jamie's gonna have to send Louise out to pose for a few more bongo mags to keep the family afloat.</p>
