Just been told that there’s a lot more season tickets than we are being told!!!!!! The 7000 and odd season tickets that were told about are the ones that are bought cash but there a hell of a lot of complimentary tickets that doesn’t count in that figure. From what I’ve been told, every kid that plays in the academy all the way to the reserves and the first team squad get between 1 and 2 complimentary season ticket every season. Not sure how many tickets it involves but they’re all entitled to 4 tickets for Wembley. Must be a hell of a lot of kids playing for every age group squad at the academy, under 9s to under 19s and then the senior squad. Then there’s some senior staff that get 2 season tickets every season. Fact Can’t see there being any left after today.
We could to with an update on the club website but based on the speed of the queues yesterday I can't believe we have sold owt like 33,000 in less than two days?
Thats correct - and so it should be. These kids are the future of BFC whether playing or supporting. Their families give up a lot of time and money taking their kids up and down the country as well as training each week - its a small reward for them. 4 tickets per kid in the good seats is what Im told.
If that's true, how does this fit in with Another Bubble's post yesterday then? I have attached the original post for those who did not see it.
http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=102791&posts=13#M663666
