a while back, and how the data was, to use a scientific phrase, 'well dodge'. http://news.independent.co.uk/media/article2521677.ece "Fill her up", eh.
Mind you, I wish they would stop using the phrase 'global warming'. Whilst we had the warmest April for 250+ years, Mexico had its coldest since records began. Currently there are several seal boats locked up in pack ice off Canada, from which the crews have had to be taken off for their own safety. The ice pack, so far south at this time of the year was not expected. I further wish they would stop the nonsense about rising sea levels. Why and how? Water expands when frozen, therefore when ice melts their is contraction.
"Water expands when frozen, therefore when ice melts there is contraction" That's sort of correct - but maybe not applicable in this situation (unless all the ice caps are floating). I think when the land mass is in a frozen state, some of that volume is above "sea level" (effectively as a land mass). When it melts it adds liquid to the ocean raising the level.
