The match was quite enjoyable, lost 2-1 as suspected and expected, much better second half though. We looked really strong on the left flank. Rohan Ricketts: BUY-BUY-BUY-BUY-BUY-BUY-SIGN-SIGN-STEAL-NICK-THIEVE whatever it is that we need to do, he looked really strong down the wing and crossed in a few crackers.

Odejaye was really good and strong in the air, scoring the second with a header from I think it was Bruma, who then left the pitch injured after colliding with the hoarding. He nearly carried on though so I'm sure he's fine. Odejaye had a couple of great runs at the keeper but was trying too hard not to be selfish and to be fair I think we should have won it.

Colgan was always going to let the goal in with a one on one chance ending up straight through his legs.

All in all a lot of positives and I'm more than sure Davey picked up a lot from it. I would have taken the first half defence and the second half attack! Kozluk looking good but small.

Oh and no bar in the ground... d'oh!

Oh and most of the squad got a run out including a change in goalie, big changes at half time.

Think I got the injured part wrong.

Well, they were mostly the defence in the second half, not too bad, but not too great either. GK stopped a very powerful shot dead, even though it same straight at him, impressed me anyhow. Coulson has filled out but didn't really have the luck in front of goal. Morecombe were very good at getting legs in the way of things.

Can I be your friend!!! (worship)

Think it was Werling (?) who put the cross in for Ode's goal.

Shame he got injured in the process - because in the 10 minutes he was on the pitch he looked like a
mini Roberto Carlos, really pacey and it was the cross that made the goal, after good work by Ricketts.

Talking of which - Rohan was crap and anonymous in the first 45 - absolute magic in the 2nd!

Early days of course, but not impressed with our defence so far - can see the first league game back 4
as Kozluk, Hassell, Reid and Werling, unless we sign a decent centre-half.

Not impressed with Bruma on today's showing, nor Andy Johnson. We looked far more potent when
Howie came on at the start of the second half.

Still, plenty of time for improvement - and moose is correct, we really should do something about the
timescale for launching our second strip. Shambolic today - Howard didn't have a shirt when he came out
after the break and we ended up with two #10's and two #5's in the second half - not sure how/why the
    ref let that go....

With the sort of reviews Werling's getting and the reputation of Kozluk that doesn't sound like a bad back-four...

Don't think Rohan was quite that bad in the first half, he was certainly trying, seemed to me in the first half we were pushed to the wings, in the second we wanted to use them.

Basing it on the fact nothing came via our left flank in the first 45.

'Crap' may be a bit strong, but anonymous he certainly was!

Which made his second half showing all the more amazing.

Mind you - Disco hardly set the place alight in the first 45!

Was really disappointed with the defence in the first session - no better than last season. Hopefully
it will improve as they all get to know each other better.. Felt sorry for Letheren with their winner,
the shot (and what a cracker it was) came out of nothing and gave him no chance, plus we looked more
like winning the game at that stage.

Agree to disagree on that one I think!
