The Mrs just been for the '3 cases for £20' xmas booze down at Morrisons. JSS included and some random gassy canned lager....terrific news! no real ale muck at thereev towers i can tell ya!
I got 2 cases of bottled ale from Bradfield Brewery and 2 mini kegs of real ale for £60. Sorted! My house is a smooth-free zone!
i am led to believe that mine is in da fridge and i will be watching the darts myself tonight.... once the bin lids have gone to beddy byes!!
Going to the airport in a few hours. Real ale pubs in Manchester (Chorlton) tomorrow. Buying "proper" beer at Sainsbury's in Cheadle on Sunday. Miner's Rest (Old Town) later next week. Good (drinking) times ahead. JSS-free zone at all times.
What did you get from Bradfield? I could drink that Farmer's Blonde stuff 'til it comes out of my ears. They've nearly always got it on as a guest beer at the King's Head up at Huddersfield Station, alongside Timothy Taylor's Ram Tam which is another absolutely cracking pint. Those two beers combined frequently make Red West a very happy boy.
A keg of Brown Cow and a keg of Poppy (I still have a keg of Blonde left over from a summer BBQ so that's the first to be consumed) The cases were mixed, a few bottles of blonde in there. I love all their stuff, but when we went the Belgian Blue was top quality (not available in bottles though), and teh Brown Cow was excellent.
Re: Babysitter required Will try the "new" no.7 - if we get a chance. Dependent on baby-sitters. Hint to Fired.
Not tried Poppy, but I've had a few bottles of Brown Cow before, and would agreed it's damn good, really nutty/chocolatey as I recall? Will remember to try the Poppy and Belgian Blue next time I get the chance, in fact you may just have inspired me to drive myself and Lady West up to Bradfield this weekend.......
