We really should have signed him. Clearly a good champ defensive midfielder and better than even a good loan option in James that we can't sign.
It's a bit gutting to watch him playing so well for them. I just hope he regrets going back there in time. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
2 from Blackburn, Wigan, Bristol City and Burton will get relegated in my opinion. Never did I think I would support Burton so feverishly as I will now. Would love Wigan and Bristol to go down. And if Wigan go down I'll have no problem welcoming Sam back with open arms....
I think Blackburn looked the better side out of what we've seen so far this season and yeah I'd like to see Bristol go down. For me it'll be Rotherham, Burton and Wigan (depending what happens with Burton's managerial situation). Regarding Sam Morsy coming back here next season if Wigan go down, no thanks. He could've stayed here and been flirting with the play offs but he's chosen to have a relegation scrap but on more money.
He was on £10k a week, and they significantly improved on that. We can't compete with that. We needed to sign him when he was willing to take a wage drop just to get out of Wigan. One man was in charge of sorting out contracts and transfers.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see wigan relegated and Morsys agent trying to engineer a move back to us in the close season. Wigan can't afford to continue to pay those wages. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Well if that's true it was a rash decision imo, after the news settled and most fans had heard he's forced the move there was no sympathy imo.
Have you got anything to back that up with? Not having a go or anything, just curious - as if true, it would be an odd decision to say the least.
I've no evidence to back it up, only what I've been told from someone I trust. And with no chief exec & Cryne undergoing cancer treatment I doubt we'll ever get it confirmed anyway.
Fair enough. I can see why on the face of it a player might be concerned - as are we - that we've sold so many stars when in such a good position. However, I still think it wouldn't have bothered him in the slightest had we been offering in excess of £10,000 a week.
