most memorable season

    apart from the promotion season 96-97 what is the most memorable season for you.

    Mine would be 1999-00 purely on the basis we beat portsmouth 6-0 one week and then lose 6-1 to ipswich the folllowing week. Also the 93-94 season because the east stand opened

    Newly promoted to 2nd division, (almost) took it by storm missing out on promotion by just 4 points. Great League Cup run beating 3 1st division sides and only lost to Liverpool after a replay - I'll never forget the drive over the M62 to Anfield in the fog, Dusty Bin's goal in the replay or Greame Souness putting Ray McHale out of the game before the ball left the centre circle from the kick-off - then scoring the equalliser after Ian Banks' clearance hit another defender and dropped for Souness on the penalty spot. Dirty spawny get.
