I think he's a more complete player but is never going to score as many goals as Winnall. Both are valuable to the team, please don't make me pick between them.

Watkins is class had no right to score that goal today when he picked the ball up, was class. He is a more all round player but as been said winnall will get you more goals rather lose neither tbh

We are playing so well, as a team and every individual is performing very well. As such I'm worried at losing any of em.

Watkins has been one of the better players for me this season - puts a shift in every game and has added the goals recently to become a more complete player.Him and Winnall have developed an excellent partnership

I agree with this. It's been great watching the lads develop a good understanding of each other this year. There's quite a few good partnerships springing up all over the pitch (Winnall and Watkins, Hammill and White for example). I also liked seeing Conor shouting instructions and encouraging us to be getting the ball forward - he was quite often gesturing at players to move up the pitch.

Conor Hourihane's game has moved up a couple of notches all round since being given the captaincy.

Winnall and Watkins very different players, both very valuable to this team.

Hammill and White electric at times but it's great to see that we now don't over rely on just Hammill.

Three good goals scored from open play today

I thought similar earlier but for Watkins to be getting bids in the same area as Washington it would take more goals but considering he's coming from a pretty bad league, the step up he's made his brilliant. I'd be more disappointed if we lost Watkins over Winnall.

It's like Hendry, he needed a Wilkinson beside him.

Winnall needs Watkins, no doubt about it.

I wouldn't want to choose either. BUT I think if LJ were to come back for either he would choose Watkins.

Watkins is my favourite player. He has been all season and will continue to be. He goes un-noticed by a lot of people. Where I sit I never hear his name where I hear others praised for things he does all game every game without fail. I.e chasing stuff down (he's the best at it) or holding the ball up. He never seems to get recognition but that goal today and the one the other week with the dribble into the box and outside of foot finish people need to see that we have one hell of a player on our hands and he is not only a grafter but a very, very tidy, skilful footballer.

Whenever the other teams midfield play it back to their defence to start again he's on them like a dog chasing a bone and doesn't give them a minutes peace, it leads to throws in high up so we can press teams in, leads to mistakes and **** clearances that Hourihane and Brownhill have been picking up 95% of the time lately.

I know some people will think what i'm about to say next is daft and a bit far but i've just had a look at the Wales squad in the Euro qualifiers. (I don't mean first 11) and I can't see any reason why he shouldn't make the squad. He played in three positions today which proved his versatility and his effort and endevour didn't diminish 1%. I don't know when his contract expires but I would be adding a few years to it as soon as I could.

Watkins is great when he plays upfront. Tireless, occasionally skilful and a handful. Plays a different role to Winnall and they complement each other well. A great season bearing in mind the standard he was playing over the last few seasons. Will need to add more goals to his game to be as valuable to us as Winnall but this does seem to be coming. Awful as a winger thought we wasted him there earlier in the season.

He's third in the assists table for our league. If he starts adding goals to his game on a more regular basis then he should go for a lot of money.
