Most underated/overrated bfc player of the season??

id say bobby hassell was most underrated and excluding the playoffs nardiello was most overrated

true...was cryin out for howard to be given a proper chance after he recovered from injury i think burns going was a blessing in disguise

Got to agree.

Howard scored 4/5 goals in 1/2 season from midfield and Burns scored about 4 in 2 seasons.

Howard was a better passer and tackler than Burns but didnt cover as much ground as a lot of the running that Burns did was rectifying his own mistakes.

Dont really think Howard was underated

seemed to get lots of praise every game in latter half of the season, and deservedly so, come to think of it, during the last few weeks when it really mattered the team as a whole did exceptionally well, and once the stikers started scoring, bloody hell,

Hello Graham,

I guess the point I was trying to make was that Brian wasn't rated at all when he replaced Jacob. There was quite a bit of a backlash on this board when we sold "our player of the season" and replaced him with a freebie from Swindon.
I think his performaces since that time have proven beyond doubt that he was severely underrated by the public (if not by the manager).

How many on here would have swapped him for Jacob (plus a few quid in the bank and a high earner off the payroll)? I didn't mean to suggest that Brian Howard was underrated as of now.

Reid is a quality player . Brian Howard doesn'tj get a lot of recognition from some parts of the crowd but is tidy at what he does

agree 100% with you, at the time i thought Burns going was a disaster, but towards the end of the season howard and McPhail were superb for us

 

The criticism Reid gets is bizarre..

Its only from certain quarters, but I think hes been very very good when fit, particularly in the playoffs.

wot i like about reidy is he seems as though he cares so much about the club and that has rubbed off on the other players too...they genuinely look as thought they are all mates obviously thats somthing to do with ritchie and holden and their belief in team spirit....we never had that in the era of lumsdon.fallon and mulligan
