If Big Val leaves for West Brom ( which seems guaranteed) what you think are the chances of Alex becoming a West Brom player by mid July .

Well on the Baggies forums they're all eager for that to hsppen. Even on about going for Dike and Dane as well!

It’s got to be a possibility. Mowatt made it clear last season that he has a lot of time and respect for Val.

Seems reasonable. Big club, promotion favourites, wages not a problem

Prefer he went to the Baggies than the Scabs if he’s going

Depends what midfielders WBA have in their squad. But any optimism that he might stay here is long gone, given the guy responsible for negotiating his contract isn't even staying himself.

Who is actually responsible for the day to day running of the club at the moment? Assume it's not Murphy if he's on his way out?

This is the one bit that I'm concerned about. Players, managers, CEOs all come and go. But if Murphy or Ismael are leaving, they're unlikely to be 100% focused on what needs to be done in the transfer market right now. And if a player were in talks with Barnsley at the moment, but now they don't know if the CEO, coach, and captain will stick around, they're bound to have a few doubts. For that reason I just hope that things are made certain one way or another quickly.

I'm still waiting for him to be announced when he comes back from his holiday.

Forget the poster who said it. He was adamant that a new 2 year deal had been agreed and would be announced on his return..... so much so he posted it in 2 different threads......

Why do people think because AM & VI worked together for around 6 months AM will automatically follow VI?

Maybe we should look at the Baggies midfield and see if they have players as good, or better?

Can see them coming in for Woodrow.

    Their striker options are

    Karlan Grant

    Calum Robinson

    Kenneth Zohore

I’d say that’s a fair shout, also Woodrow’s stock is no longer on the ascendancy so could be an opportune time to cash in.

Looks like it will have to be Conway again, and that went well last time he was running things day to day. Probably first thing that players or agents will hear when they come to Oakwell for talks is Conway charging them for the car park.

Ismael and Mowatt isn't particularly surprising, it's the nature of Murphy's apparent departure that's alarming. CEO's come and go, but not often to a rival club on a Bosman.

I'd say it's Conways and Co's refusal to bring in more experience and rid the club of Lower end championship players that's led to unrest in big Vals and DM decisions to move on...and possibly AM too
.just my opinion and im not privy to inside information.....
No doubt away from the public eye I'd say the Lack of ambition once again lifts its ugly head and becomes the stick to beat the board with.....

Welcome to a new season of rinse and repeat and no doubt spin on the roller coaster that's bsly football club
