Who do we reckon will start? Kane or Palmer? Also is Chaplin back today?

Chaplin is missing because of Covid along with Mowatt, Miller and Collins. I would play Palmer who I rate far more than Kane based on what I have seen of them both.

Why not push Styles central and start Odour at wing back...? I think he will go with Kane though.

This could probably be the better choice. If it’s not working big Val will know what to do

Personally I’d keep the same side as started at Rotherham and just put Palmer in for Mowatt I think it’s more likely that it will be Kane not certain though.
I doubt it will be Styles with Oduor at LWB

Oduor on the left would weaken us more than bringing in a straight replacement for Mowatt - he’s not shown much on his (albeit few) showings this season - though Styles is probably the best option for central midfield if we had another option to play on the left.

He may bring in Kane, he may play Oduor and switch Styles, though I’d go for Palmer for today. Him and James together would be combative and have legs - we may need that against a team who even with their missing players will be a very, very good side.

I think Kane might edge it due to his set piece ability which could make the difference if the game is tight.

He can pick whoever he wants as long we don’t carry on giving the ball away cheaply. If we can’t keep some kind of possession today, we will be in trouble I think.

Palmer for me. I really like Kane but I think we need some bite in midfield today and I think Palmer is the player for that. Hopefully this will then free up James to act as the playmaker.

I think he should go 3-5-2 and have Kane, Palmer and James all start. Won’t happen though

As much as I'd love to see Styles in midfield, Oduor isn't good enough defensively for me. It's one area we need to strengthen this window.

This afternoon, I reckon I'd have Palmer in midfield. My criticism of him in the past is that he gets too far forward, however he might benefit from playing alongside someone like James, who can sit deep and mop up.

Kane does offer a threat from set pieces, which could be invaluable this afternoon.

Depends on how Val wants to approach game, if he wants to go defensive, I would go with Palmer, if he wanted to attack, I would give Oduor a start in middle of pitch alongside James.

I would go with Palmer , we may have to do a lot more defending today & Palmer has a fair old engine on him & likes a tackle , regarding Styles , I would leave him where he is but have Odour ready for in case we need to switch it
