Is it possible to "trim" an MP3 file.
I want to chop 33 seconds of rubbish at the start of a file, prior to the song beginning.
The only way I can think of doing it is to burn it to CD, then transfer it to tape, before re-transferring from tape to my PC from the point I want, using audiograbber.
Surely there's an easier way?

If you want to save mp3 files in Audacity, you'll have to download one of the mp3 codecs separately (at least it wasn't included in the installer because of some legal reasons) It's easy though, and the program will tell you what to do. Remember that mp3 is a lossy file format, so if you edit the file and save it many times, the quality of the mp3 file will suffer.
