I don't know if you're going down or not mate, I've seen a few threads where you need a dog sitter but if you've found one or if you're struggling for travel down you're more than welcome to come with us. I genuinely think you are a top poster on here for years mate so if you need a lift shout out.
That’s very kind of you, mate. But this current old rescue JRT, is very difficult around strangers. & even at 15, he’s still a very dangerous dog. I wouldn’t feel comfortable even someone checking in on him if I went to Wembley. He’d probably just sleep most of the day, but I can’t leave him alone. Or with anyone else. Not aggressive, he doesn’t randomly attack anything. Just wants to be left alone, but gets violently defensive, if anyone crosses his boundaries. I actually just posted about him, before I saw yours.. But he’s a sweetheart with me. Total snuggle pup. It doesn’t make me special, it could be anyone who gave him what he needed. A bit of love, understanding & knowing a how to manage rescue old Russells, especially an ex working animal like Ted. He’s my 3rd in 5 years. 4th including my Ellie who’d been with me & my folks for 17 years. All Parsons/Jacks. My 8th including family dogs. I don’t get too sentimental about the adopted lads. It’s more about them getting a good home for their last year or 2, rather than me getting a new dog & he’s definitely the last one before I get to America. Sorry to bang on, but have been up all night talking to the Mrs (Danielle) in New York. She’s 5 hours behind us & is having her poorly old cat put to rest this week. It’s been a bit of an emotional night, so excuse me. I didn’t say this to her, but I hope it doesn’t happen tomorrow, cos I won’t even be watching the match on telly, if I know she’s going through that sadness at the same time. Thanks for thinking of me though mate, that’s so kind. A little tear, here.. COYRs etc..
