I'd suggest it's an ideal time for football people to suddenly get more time....its probably the worst time of year for people in football given they will be working Xmas day and all the games
What he doesn't say though is that he's safe after Christmas there's a subtle change from Mr Crynes previous comments on Johnson. I think he'll be gone by the new year unless we get wins in the Christmas fixtures.
What I gather from that comment from him is that at long last LJ is going next week, but as a business decision he should fire him now and not prolong the agony for another week now he has made his intentions public. There is a Santa then after all
Well that sounds like he is a gonner in the new year if he doesn't improve dramatically in next two games. They have to or else the season ticket money boost goes down the shltter. Hope Mr B Mansford goes wi him as its been a disaster all round. Hth I
Spot on Pat! Should never sack a man with a family. Just let LJ see out the rest of his contract in peace, not that that will be easy with the wolves on this board desperate to leave a family man out of work.
The most ****** up thing about this thread is that no one seems to think the subject matter is weird anymore, which tells you everything you need to know about BFC in current times.
I agree probley should give him over the Xmas period. Not nice to give anyone the sack over xmas especially when he has kids and family. But judging from that if he doesn't get some results over xmas he is gone.
I don't think it's the sack him or don't sack him debate that's the point here. More the fact that our owner is openly discussing it with the fan base on Facebook and offering up Christmas cheer as justification for the timing of a sacking. It's odd to say the least. But odd is the norm these days.
Course! Ha. Kind of dire straits when the suggestion a manager shouldn't be sacked is the vast minority opinion and clearly an outrageous joke. Tells you all you need to know. Family or not, sack him. He can spend that nice compensation on Christmas presents, can still order on Amazon next day delivery if we do it in the next 24 hours.
Error real world......now that would be appropriate in the real job type world....but this is football and I'm pretty sure he has a 3 year contract. So he gets a lovely pay off (if that's what happens)
