You sacked a manager who played passing football, attacking football and scored goals. You replaced him with someone who didn't exactly pull up roses with our youth team. Davey needs to go now for making Les Reed look like Sir Alex. I am horrified having to watch my team play over the top, long ball, negative tatics. Where is the next goal going to come from ? We certainly didn't look like scoring one tonight. Southend played with passion and knew what the prize was with a win. Listen to the boos and Andy Ritchie chants and tell me that's what you want to hear. You cannot even attract a mid table division three player for crying out loud. Why would i waste my time coming to meet you when i am "one of those fans" you refer to in that reply to another fan. I doubt you would be up for a dignified and mature conversation. I wouldn't blame Hassell and Howard for pissing off at the end of the season. I'm a fan and as loyal as i am i'm ashamed of the club. I have no idea how class players like them feel flogging a dead horse. The only time i have felt this low before was when we got relegated to division three. I genuinely feel like crying when i look how much we have fallen in the past six months. Please do the honourable thing and get in someone who is good enough to manage. In closing i would say that is a waste of 15 pounds and i am wet and got a cold. I could have used much more colourful language writing this but that's not my thing. I am not one of these fans on here who F n blind at you. I believe in talking to someone like you would want them to talk to you is the best way to get a message through. I would have prefered being part of the Southend conga than sat in the home end.
I think you are wrong I believe Gordon Shepherd has the best interests of this club at heart. One thing stands out for me and that was at Cardiff. Brian Howard wanted to hand him the trophy to show to the fans. He didn't. He pointed Brian at the fans, and indicated for him to go. He is a fan, like you, like me. Don't you think he would like to see this club being successful? When he dismissed Andy Ritchie he thought he was doing what was best for this club. I hope he can see now what needs to be done, before it is too late.

We need a new chairman but who would want to be our chairman ? It's not like we have a huge list of people knocking down the door to get involved.
Why Don't you say that to his face then?

You have an invite remember.

Another keyboard warrior.

That's your right. But I say you are wrong. GS didn't pick the side. He picked the manager, and he now has to have the courage to decide if he's been wrong.
RE: Why Be just like the fan he slagged off in a reply in words then, instead of inviting said fan down to the ground for a talk like he did me.
Still waiting for a response Dragon Tyke
Clickety click....
So...

RE: Why Remember the other week on here when a fan got a reply to his letter to Mr Shepherd ? Gordon replied to him giving his colourful thoughts in a reply to his letter. Why didn't Shepherd invite that fan down to the ground to air his grievances face to face ? Because if Gordon spoke to every fan who had problems face to face, he would have no spare time at all.
RE: Why If you email him with your concerns, and include an address where he can write using snail mail, you will get an answer.

GS seems to not appreciate emails, and when writing a complaint, I agree with him.

It's too easy to fire off a 3 line email moaning about something, at least with a letter, the composer tends to spend a little more time thinking about what he/she istrying to say and is more thoughtful.
