Sad news But, on the bright side: We have extra funds. Steele will be number 1. We might end up with a back up 'keeper of a better calibre than Letheran
In fairness... A team like ours can't afford the luxury of two keepers as good as they are, as they'll probably make up quite a chunk of our wages. Cheers Muller, si thi!
Indeed Especially if we are having to trim our squad this season. Better spent on a cheap backup and another outfield player. Shame though.
RE: Indeed maybe thats why Steele signed a two year deal..... doubt if he would hve signed it, if thre eas a chance of muller still bein No 1
Our Club Should Be Applauded We are going to make a profit on our second choice keeper before we lose him in 12 months for nothing and he would probably only have played next season if Steele got banned or injured anyway. Heniz pre injury was one of the best keepers we have ever had and he deserves the chance to perform at the highest level in his homeland.
He has been a very good keeper for us but since his injury he just wasn't as good as Steele IMO. We have kept the better of the two keepers. All the best Heinze, thanks and good luck.
very bad translation here coutesy google language tools - you can get the idea though http://translate.google.co.uk/trans...r-am-Bruchweg.html&sl=de&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
Personally I think it was on the cards, lost interest from Heinz Looked to me as if he had lost interest months ago. Always seemed that he wanted to use us as a stepping stone to bigger things (Prem). Luckily we have an excellent replacement in Steele. PAOLO
RE: muller has gone Overall he was a great a shot stopper but flapped a bit on crosses. Never the same after his injury. We are lucky Steele stuck it out to reclaim his place after being dropped unjustly.Lets hope this is the start of Davy learning from his mistakes
Lets's hope Steele lives up to his hype.. and we don't regret this. He is still looked at through rose tinted specs due to the game of his life at Anfield. All the best Heinz.
RE: Lets's hope Steele lives up to his hype.. I think you will find that Steele is rated on more than the game at Liverpool. He has been consistently good in a Barnsley shirt, to suggest otherwise is wrong. Has shown consistency.
You obviously weren't at Reading then when .... .... he was brought back into the team, he had a stormer and at Plymouth where he made an absolutely world class save to keep us in the game when we were 1-0 down. In fact, I don't think hes had many bad games for us, he didn't deserve to be dropped for Muller when he was, he deserves the chance of a long run in the team and he deserves credit for not jumping ship after the crap way he's been treated by Mr. Davey and co. so far during his time with the club.
Good for you .... but then I don't understand why you .... ....... think that Steele is only being judged on his performance at Anfield
