Apparently we have a super hero in red, blue and yellow costume waiting to swoop onto the pitch and save us. Make your own mind up.

    So, when we have

Steele as our goalkeeper we lose 60% of our games and with Muller it's 37%.

Far better results with Muller in according to that

And the CPG is hardly any different.

I have to say though, I'd be considering a change.

Müller was a good keeper before his injury, but still dropped the odd clanger (like all keepers do). He has not been the same since his injury.

The decision whether to pick him or not should depend on his current form, not his form many months ago.

    That's because

Muller has played with Colace and Hammill - Steele hasn't!

In all seriousness, it's time for a change. Muller has become far too complacent for my liking.

And in answer to your stats, the more games you play, you would hope to get more right than wrong so your stats mean **** all. Steele got us to Wembley - Muller would'nt have.

I wasn't going to comment further on this. But Muller's CPG has actually been better since his injury than before.

    As someone else said

That could be due to playing behind a better defence and a more solid midfield. I'm not saying he's a bad keeper, just that he is not in good form at the moment.

Anyway, regardless of who plays in goal the problem is, as ever, up front. That's the reason why we are down at the bottom, not because of the keeper. Most teams concede more than 1 goal per game, therefore they need to score 2 on average to win games. We rarely look like doing that. That's why we don't have enough points.

    RE: As someone else said

That was the point behind publishing these figures. We aint going to gain anything by changing things at that end of the pitch. In fact we could make things worse as Steele will be rusty. Like you say it's the other end that the problem lies. Most of Muller's 1.25 goals conceded per game have ended up being equalisers or winners because of our impotent strike force. We wouldn't even be discussing the keeper if the strikers got their act together.

Both good keepers Steele excellent in Derby home game when defence shaky Muller is class can be a little too serious and harsh with himself.
