Goalies always take flak from time to time because they are the last line of defence.Think of James,Carson and Robinson for example all top keepers but drop clangers occasionally. Now football is all about opinions and I think Muller has had by far many great games than poor ones. All in all after watching the Reds for 45 years Muller is the best keeper I've seen at Oakwell.

I'm sure some people think that if we had the best keeper in the world we wouldn't concede any goals. They don't seem to grasp that forwards can get into positions, either by their own skill or defensive error, where the keeper is given little or no chance.

RE: I'm only a nipper at the side of you, but...

Well I go back to Don Leeson (1961) and I also think Heinz is the best we've had in that time.

We have to remember this is BARNSLEY keepers we're talking about - of course they have faults, or they wouldn't be playing for us!

We have had some good uns in my time - Wattie, Peter Springett, Clive Baker to name but three - but for my money Muller is the best of the bunch.

    Springett Brothers

were both excellent keepers. Ron won a world cup winners medal and was part of a swap deal with Peter when they had affiliations with the pigs.

Peter was a good all round keeper when he played for us albeit at a lower level.
