Not good enough to play in the premiership if he keeps punching at crosses when e could easily catch them!! A big thing he needs to improve, cost us the 2nd goal right on half time by trying to punch when it looked like a easy catch!!

Was a poor mistake but to be fair to him, the defence had ample chances to clear afterwards.

that is my only problem with him punching instead of catching. he needs to do more of the catching

but thats the froeign goalkeeping mentality these days

Stoke will be a big test

I think there will be a lot of scouts watching that. He's showed that he's suspect on crosses when he's playing against tall players and Stoke will have plenty. If he has a poor game there, we may have a chance of keeping him.

Well that and his inability to deal with balls into the 6 yard box. Oh and his kicking.

Not the saviour he is being made out to be by some.

everyone blames muller but devaney turned his back

on the ball ath the edge of the area, if he boots it clear the danger's gone

I've said it before and I'll say it again

In my opinion , Heinz Muller is the best goalkeeper I've seen in my forty years of watching Barnsley. He's not perfect, but I've yet to see a Barnsley player who is. For me, his strengths far outweigh his weaknesses. He's certainly better at dealing with crosses than Dave Watson, for example, ever was. Should he leave next month, then we'll be a weaker team without him.

But had Muller caught the ball the danger would have gone then!

I've no doubt Simon Davey will find a good goalkeeper

But will he find a better one?

I just hope that in training they are working on him catching balls that are there to be caught.

    I know I'm in a minority here

But I'd prefer Muller to stay. I'd much rather keep him than sell him on, then have to replace him with someone not as good and have money in the bank.

    Perhaps they are

Still , we could always play Nick Colgan instead. That'd be a huge improvement.

I dont think you are in a minority

I think most of us would prefer Muller to stay

Unless we get a silly offer that is impossible to refuse - thats not going to happen if he has a £1million release clause.

He's not perfect - if he was he wouldnt be playing for us - but I agree that to replace him without weakening the team would be a challenge

I think you've got your wires crossed

JLWBigLil was talking about Colgan, not Muller.
