Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is in pole position to sign Barnsley keeper Heinz Muller for £1m.
Sorry, from BBC Sport. In numerous papers this morning according to the website. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/7162440.stm
Just a shame the only figure been touted around is 1 million, despite his inability to deal with crosses on occassions, I do think he is worth double that just based on the Scott Flinders deal alone. Could we get Denilson on a season long loan then we wouldn't have to sign De Silva?
overheard this am Simon Davey:Heinz we've had an enquiry from Arsenal -what do you think?
Heinz Muller: Hmm-I'd much rather stay at Barnsley
Simon Davey: Great

Which brings up another debate in itself. Did we not learn our lesson from the Macca transfer to Wolves last season, or was it that the only way to get Muller to Oakwell was to agree to the clause anyway? Would be interesting to know how that was agreed, if it's true of course.
I find it very sad that Premier league clubs are willing to spend millions on overseas transfers Yet offer peanuts to English teams for players, this is why there is such a gulf.the money just doen't filter down the leagues anymore. S)
Chopra? Kenwyne Jones? 10 million there Jagielka for 4 million. The money doesn't filter down the league due to teams putting stupid price tags on players' heads. I mean this Chris Gunther from Cardiff going for 3 million, he couldn't even make the Cardiff bench two months ago! Rowan Vine to Birmingham last season for 3 million, I mean FFS!
He's Not Good Enough For Arsenal Plus he won't get a game there. I will be glad when January has been and gone, so we can concentrate on the rest of the season. I don't see Wenger as someone who likes a keeper who flaps when it's just as easy to catch.
we have also received an offer from a German club, offering Heinz a 700 (yes seven hundred) per cent pay rise...
RE: and Mannone was excellent at claiming crosses wasn't he? All those except the ones above his head!
