firstly I will say that of all the British clubs it is probably Man Utd that I despise the most mainly because they were the heralds of "cheque book" football and buying success. HOWEVER, having served the armed forces for 30+ years in and out of uniform I can honestly say that this Chris guy disgusts me. I have attended quite a few "disasters" and conflicts , I have been one of the people removing remains of colleagues from these places...and I have seen the total grief and devastation of the ones the unfortunates left behind. To even think of writing what you have,Chris_BFC_87, is just unbeleivable. I hope you are never one of the ones left behind in the aftermath of such an event, you would have a different view then I think. Yes indeed the Munich Tragedy was a long time ago, as was Hillsboro,as was Heyshal..as was the two great wars, so should we forget about those lads too at the setting of the sun, no I think not. Hang your head in shame Chris, this is one time you have overstepped the line massively.

    Totally Agree

Twice now in a couple of days I have agreed with you 100%! What's going on?

There is no room for that sort of stuff on here. Well beyond any line of banter. Hope he grows up soon because obviously the process is not yet complete.

    "heralds of cheque book football"?

Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Sharpe, Butt, both the Nevilles, O'Shea, Brown, Kanchelskis, Cantona, Sheringham, Fletcher, Solsjkaer . . . . . . which cheque book signed those players?

People have a blinkered hatred of Man Utd despite the fact they play some fantastic football, and have probably brought more England caps to the England team than anyone else in the last 10 years.

Take away Rooney, Ferdinand, Berbatov and Carrick, all bought in seperate summers, everyone else in their squad falls under the 12 million quid bracket.

I think you are diverting from the actual thrust of this and the shame that Chris should be showing

the debate as to the goods and evils of Man Utd are a long one and each has their own views, but what Chris_bfc_87 has posted is just not on.

I agree with Stahlrost as i too have agreed with you too many times recently and it scares me :D :D

But it's true what you are saying. The amount of respect he has (not) shown is disgusting. As much as i hate manure this is one thing that i never take the piss out of. Innocent footballers who died after playing the game we love

My mates a City fan and every time he used to sing it as young uns i used to give him a kicking for it

It must be brilliant to be able to detach yourself from feeling like that.... if we all did it there'd be no need to feel sorry for Rhys Jones Parents; Iain Hume; Madeliene McCann's family - what a wonderful world that would be. Wonder when the time comes (if it ever does) and Chris BFC experiences pain in his life through loss, he will think about his utterly childish post on here.... because laughing at other people's pain is unforgivable.

    Sorry but...

...callous though his post is, I doubt it will be on his mind if and when something painful in his life did happen. BTW I don't wish that on him or anyone.

I was picking up on the only debatable point in that post

The rest of it should be common knowledge to everyone on this planet.

I could have gone down the safe route of typing back "spot on" or "I agree".

You couldnt be more wrong there actually.

Anderson, Nani, Ronaldo, Tevez (eventually) and Hargreaves were all over the £12m + plus mark. Thats not even including the players been and gone - Veron, Van Nist et al.

Also, their first 11 currently does not include 1 manchester grown player. Their youth system is something of the past and do get the cheque book out.

As you say, peoples hatred against man utd does go a bit far. Mine stems from the past where I lived and worked in Manchester and their fans are a nitemare. They do play great football - but they have paid good money to do so.
