Crashed over hoardings, bashed his head on concrete, been targeted for lots of hard-hitting tackles by the Wigan pack, nearly just had his knee broken, and still on the pitch playing. No histrionics, no complaints, no feigning injury, no moans to ref about unfair challenges, nothing.

Now, knowing what I do about football, I reckon Mostto will be of the same ilk.

Superb game. Better athletes, more family orientated game, plenty of skill, plenty of aggression, ref has total control at all times, quick, professional without being prima donnas - can't think of a bad word to say about it. Still a football fan by habit, but if I was young now I doubt I'd even look at football to be my 'sport of choice'. Rugby League would walk it.

    Hear hear.

People who slag it off either don't watch it or don't understand it.

    Fantastic game.

And you're entitled to it, but why feel the need to respond to a post about a fantastic athelete by slagging it off?

I think horse racing's **** but if someone posts about it I don't post back to it...

Now if I had no life and was incredibly bored....................

You got your original opinion on it by not watching it?

    Thought so.

Don't mind union. Much more strategic game, hence a lot slower. Still, at its best, it's awesome. Seem to be a lot more mediocre games than in League though.

    Absolutely mate.

I played Union at school, but after watching both codes in Leeds nearly every week for 2/3 years, I finally realised Union was awful and League fantastic - still go to watch the Rhinos sometimes.

    Rugby Union is incredibly dull..

but rugby league, I have to admit, is mildly entertaining. Never will it get close to how I feel about football - mainly because you never really feel that a try is a decisive moment in a rugby league game - if you go a try down in rugby league its almost inevitable that the other team will score - footballs much more of a nerve-wracker in that sense. Any goal could be decisive.
