I can listen to anything really, just want something good to listen to in the car,, I like compilatons.

So far I have Hed Kandi Beach Party, Ultimate Streetdance, Top Gear etc etc on my IPod.

Band wise The Script seem quite good.

I like all sorts really but i'll be honest I think the Scouting For Girls album is very good. But having no idea what type of music you normally like I can't really tell. If you like punk though there's quite an old album by Weezer I have just bought called Pinkerton - it's an absolute classic, right up there with their debut Blue album.

No idea if that's any help at all.

My wife seems to rate the Ting Tings, she's more into pop music than me, my tastes are slightly heavier.

People always say "I can listening to anything"

then if you recommend summat they'll say "well, anything but that"

Everyone's tastes are too different to be recommending stuff

Exactly mate, that's why I say "I listen to all sorts" instead, rather than "anything" because there's a lot of **** out there.

    Pigeon Detectives,
    Oasis (old and new),
    Scouting for Girls,

Galaxy FM cd for some old classic dance tunes.
That new 'Clubbers Guide Summer 08' is good IMO but it all depends on what you like.

A really good album with a great mix of bands is Bez's Madchester Anthems. You have all the indie bands - Smiths, Inspiral Carpets, Stone Roses & Happy Mondays then you also have some great dance music from the days of the Hacienda. Great album (Y)

I hated the young Knives. How did that get a Mercury Nomination?

    The Courteeners are quite good.

I find this website is useful

    http://www.last.fm/music/James

The "similar bands" bit, helps me find stuff I've not heard of but is listened to by people who like them. It's like the Amazon, people who liked this also like that ... which is good for books

You can also listen to clips and see what they're like.
