Well it's nice where I am!

John Cale's seminal Paris 1919, which he actually recorded in 1973....

I'm also in the mood for a bit of mellow Elliott Smith and perhaps a dash of Nick Drake before bedtime. Nothing too raucous today .*^ )

I work from home and have spent the past few months listening to my itunes library in alphabetical order (70 odd Dylan albums on the trot can be a bit much, as can 2,700 Beatles tracks!) and I've reached Cat Power this morning, which is a nice way to bring the day in. Should be starting a couple of days of The Charlatans soon, although I'm trying not to look ahead to see what's coming.

Ironic how Nick Drake and Elliott Smith always make me feel so happy. If you want something less suicide-infused though, try some Air, Beach House, Boards of Canada, King Creosote, Midlake, Leisure Society..

That started quite promisingly, then alarmingly veered off the road and hit a tree.

I'm listening to "Mystical ****" by King Missile

It's part of a goal I've recently set myself to acquire all 100 albums released on the now defunct ShimmyDisc label. As you do.

I don't trust Jake Bugg. That voice shouldn't belong to that face. My prediction - will suffer the same overplayed fate as Lana del Rey and end up on The Letterman Show

I forgot about your dislike of the Charlatans! The Jake Bugg album is quite good though.

The Lana Del Rey LP is my record of the year, that's assuming it came out this year - I'm obviously a bit out of touch. I don't do much radio or tv so the only overplaying I do is with myself.

Well, my current favourites are Cryptopsy, Augury, Atheist and Behold...The Arctopus. However, no one else will like them so I won't recommend them.
