    swapped over a few times.

the other match sounds like it's been played in a library.

Never known a country as football mad as Turkey. If Galatasaray win a game you get people from all over the country driving around beeping their horns with scarfs hanging out of there cars. Crackers

Don't say anything wrong about German football, we know that's not allowed on this forum.

Welcome to Hell. Apparently it holds the record for being noisiest ground in the world.

I can well believe it. We have some friends in Turkey and half the family are Galatasaray season ticket holders, the other half Fenerbace. Must be fun in their house on derby day!

I bet that bragging rights is taken to a whole new level with them. I read a story once about how a River Plate fan had married a woman who was from a Boca Juniors family and they ended up murdering him after a particularly hostile derby.

You've been in a library? Looking for the chip shop?

When we say "a wild stab in the dark" it's a term for having a guess at something we don't particularly have an idea on. When the Galatasaray fans say the same thing it means putting away fans in hospital the evening before the next match.

My brother's in-laws are Leeds fans, and he did fear not getting his lift home last season. Or the season before. Or the season before that. Not sure whether murder was ever on the cards though!

You're referring here to their old stadium, the Ali Sami Yen. They had a pitch length banner facing the tunnel, that literally read 'Welcome to Hell'...charming.

Yeah I read yesterday that they have branded Welcome To Hell so you can actually buy that in their clubshop on a babygrow.
