At least he's not like Brian Robson reckoning his team played well when it's pretty clear they didn't.
From Official site - Post match Comments POST MATCH COMMENTS FROM THE KC STADIUM Posted on: Mon 22 Oct 2007 REDS manager Simon Dave gave his thoughts following tonight's defeat at the KC Stadium. Simon said: "The game was over in the first 20 minutes. We came back into it but did not have the bounce of the ball. We were seven matches unbeaten and we need to remember that so we have to bounce back. "It is very disappointing to lose by three goals in front of the Sky cameras but we have to respond. The players have responded before this season and now we have to do it again. "We wanted to keep our unbeaten run going and we failed to do that. That performance was not us. "We gave it a go but got nothing. It did not really fall for us but it is a reality check to everybody and we have to respond. "I am not going to criticise anyone - we have lost one game in eight and today was just a bad day at the office. We now have a big game to pick ourselves up for this weekend".
If he is not going to criticise anyone after that performance the man is a fool We never came back into it and never got near to the bounce of the ball. We did not give it a go at anytime during the 90 mins. We were abysmal and that may be being kind. The strikers are lost and do not give any help to the midfield and McCann is not good enough, not seen him do anything in any game except 2 freekicks at Soton. Werling is NOT a defender and Souza is not De Zueew, more like Craig Ireland.
RE: it is a reality check to everybody yep, pick up 8 point out of the next12 or 15 and were half way to safety with just over a third of the season gone.
