    Pirates spurn bid for Carayol

    Bristol Rovers have rejected a six-figure bid from a Championship side for Mustapha Carayol, according to the club's official website.

    The winger has impressed for Rovers this season since his move from Lincoln last summer and certainly has a number of admirers higher up the footballing ladder.

    This is not the first bid from a Championship club for the promising wide man, Barnsley were stopped in their pursuit of the 22-year-old in January when a bid was rejected by Rovers.

    Boss Mark McGhee has insisted he will do all he can to keep his best players at the club and that includes Carayol.

    middlesbrough are the club that bid yeserday, we should have spent the vaz te money on him in january, now he's out of our reach
