Didnt read the entire articles earlier, and so I only noticed the price increase. Dont give me the whole 'freeze' ******** as it wont apply to me and many others. Having since read Dyson's posts, and conversed with Mark Stokes, it seems I am likely to pay for my ticket on the 5 or 10 month payment plan. So thanks for alerting me to that. I have near enough worked all my life, until recently, and never had to think about renewing issues, it just got paid in full every May like I would do my council tax bill etc. I am forever disillusioned with this club, particularly in the months of January, February and March, for obvious reasons, but however moany I may get, I am always there the following August. Its what I do, what I love. But maybe thats the problem. Maybe those making decisions at Oakwell are well aware that the core support will turn up evermore, hence the terrible customer service/relations. And for every tarn fan I have spoken to lately, in person or on forums like this, they/we saw the 125 as a great opportunity for the club to re-engage with the insouciant fans out there, and the thousands staying away. And IMO, the club have decided to play it safe, and consequently, the ST numbers will certainly drop, again, leaving us with less revenue, and an empty stadium with no atmosphere. These are only my opinions, and whilst I rarely agree with thereev, he is bang on with one point - why do the club not set matchday prices at a similar time? Because for me, by paying for my seat for the season, I expect a saving. It was nearly 100% dearer to pay on the day this year in comparison to my ST. Yet, after all the reductions - poorly advertised - I didnt save anywhere near as much. Now, I dont mind that tbh. Im just making a point. Shifting goalposts is bad business. But then again, its like this clubs fcukin motto at the minute. See, I never heard the club or KK say it was all about survival, in June.. and I am certain we were to reduce the amount of loanees... and, I remember the owner saying we wouldnt be losing our best players.. goalposts, shifted.. fans, shafted.. BUT AL BE THERE IN AUGUST THA KNOWS! Up the Reds etc
I've asked the club if they could do me a ST ticket from August - December/Mid January, l'll let you know the response. I'm prepared to pay 75% of the full cost and to sit near Hemsy.
It's all about survival for 70% of the clubs Whitey and you can't sit near me, it's full of ST holders.
