Shane Warne is bowling to Freddie Flintoff. I'm drinking a beer and grinning.

That after the greatest series ever witnessed, where people are talking about the game and youngsters suddenly have new heroes to emulate, it's pissing off to Sky.

I understand why they did it

They got bucket loads of wonga, but it was a poor decision when they made it and the sudden popularity due to this series has made it look even more so.

    Is it going to Sky?

Good job I say then we may be able to watch cricket without going to Horse racing all the time

    Agree with you there.

We've just witnessed what many people have said is the most compelling, nail-biting series of cricket in history. Even if that isn't the case, it's certainly been played with a spirit that restores your faith in sport, in front of noisy, packed grounds full of good humour.

Oh, hang on. Let's just nip over to fúcking Doncaster for the 2:10.

    (furious) :(( /poo

Sky are putting in 90 million into the sport,BBC & ch4 only wanted 1 dayers and tests, sky show county, 20/20 and 1 day matches, the BBC spend this amount on ***** every day dont blame sky for providing a good service a £1 a day not exactly bank breaking

    So your boys are fielding?

In close, or waiting for a lofted sweep? Very good of Shane & Freddie to come round so soon. Is Olney far from t'Oval, like?

When SKY got England 5-Nations rugby games....

.....take up of Rugby at schools up to U-15 level fell by 70%.

    Money talks, unfortunately.

Aye, a tear passed by my eye when Warney got that standing ovation. Dont believe the hype, there's only one beautiful game. (raiseaglass)

Surely the sudden popularity makes it look a good decision by Sky.

loads more subscribers as a result.

    Good business all round

    Yes EastStander

I was looking at it from the perspective of Rupert Murdoch. I'm so happy there'll be loads more subscribers to sky sport.

Channel 4 got 8 million viewers watching. How many people subscribe to Sky sports? What's their highest ever viewing figures? Do you think the lack of exposure to cricket for the public at large will increase or decrease its popularity? Good deal all round? Aye alreight.
