i am a life long reds fan who has had a season ticket for many years, however due to work i had to give it up this year. I have been in the centenary society for years as well. One of my so called mates was meant to get me a ticket yesteray but didn't cos he preffered to get one for his boss at work whohas never watched the reds. I have been told that i will have no chance of gettin a ticket on monday with my centenary cos they will have all gone. What do you think?? is that true??
Only four of the twelve are from Huddersfield. Plus i've helped out a BBS member with a pair of tickets. Benefit of being a season ticket holder is you can take who you want.
fair enough that might be the benefit of being a season ticket holder but it stops fans who can't be for various reasons but have been to 20 plus games home and away this season from gettin a ticket!!!!!!!!!
You can be sure you will get one with your centenary membership. The numbers have been worked out that way. Even if every season ticket holder uses their voucher for 4 tickets there will still be thousands left for sale on Monday.
I remember a post by yourself exclaiming how many mancs scouse and hudds you had used your voucher to attain tickets for whislt on the other hand preaching ye all shalt be die yards.
Well technically of the four from Huddersfield, one is away most of the year at uni and the other is from Holmfirth, which technically isn't part of Huddersfield. So I guess only me and my Dad are from Huddersfield all the time.
Exactly. If DB3k didn't use all his allocation, that would only be a drop in the ocean. If everyone thought the same then it may work. It shouldn't have been 4 per ticket holder, but if thats what they have said, then why shouldn't people take advantage of this? Everyone else would - and have done. Suddenly ST holders are public enemy number one, and are being made to feel guilty by some fans. I took 4 ST's and took the full allocation of tickets. All of which are for Barnsley fans, that dont go regular (apart from around eight of us) and a further two were for a member of this BBS. If 50% of people on here could have also bought for a BBS member, then I imagine there would have been less moaning. Although there would have still been something to moan about. But don't try blaming this on DB3k, that is absolutely ridiculous.
Ok mate, fair comment. At the end of the day he is entitled to bring whoever he wants. He has equal rights of any other ST holder. But I do understand what you mean.
i'm not blaming anybody, i all i wanted to know is if there would be some tickets left on monday after being stitched up by a so called mate, who had my money for the ticket and everything, funny he's not been round to give it back yet either
Makes my blood boil to be honest. Anyone who has taken 'mates' known to regulary attend games at a N Other local club should be ashamed. The Anfield game was the start of the stupidity.
Well said fella. Which BBS member you helped out? We are not the enemy for taking advantage of what we were entitled to. Some coming support others teams, but I don't care, as they are people close to me, who are sharing a special day with me. I would rather help out people I know personally anyway, than some complete stranger.
Again, same argument applies. If the club are daft enough to allow it then people will take their allocation of friends. I'm not condoning it because it doesn't seem right to me either. But the club are solely to blame imo, and not the individual fan that takes his mate who happens to be a Huddersfield / Leeds / Blade / Rotherham fan.
RE: if that had happend to me the so called mate believe me fella the missus had to lock me in the house cos i ws f*****g fuming, i will remember tho the next time he asks me to help him out wi some stuff round the house and such!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
