This training for the Sheffield marathon is killing me ive only been to Wombwell train station & back from 1/2 way on Windmill Road (casualty) I wonder what the slowest time for a 1/2 marathon is?? I bet i smash it (shithappens)
I'm no runner, always been a sprinter, but last year I got myself a treadmill and i try to make sure i go on at least once a week. It used to be twice a week minumim, but now doing once a week is a struggle but most of the time I do manage it. I've been threatening to do a half marathon on the treadmill, and 3 weeks ago i finally did it. A bit boring when on a treadmill, but i know for sure I wouldn't have fancied it outside. Managed it in 2 hours. I always aim for a 10 minute mile - not great I know, but it's the only way it feels comfortable to me. My previous best was 8.5 miles on it, but that final 3 miles seemed very tough. Good luck anyway mate, hope you manage it. Forget times, doing it at all is better than what most can manage.
**** off ya Stephen Fry lookalike just cos tha 7ft tall and it would take you around 4 strides to complete it. Plus i dont see thee offering to do it
yeah but i'd have to get sky then on my benefits and start smoking scabby roll ups with some chap bacca i've brought on the sly.
Let us know next time I'll come up and sit on the cricket field wall with mi cam..give us all a laugh. Or do you cheat and go don past the Barley
