    Oh no

I'm truly sorry for your loss Mr Badger.

He will not be suffering anymore and may Fudge rest in peace.

I will say a prayer for him.

    Gutted for you fella

Very sorry to read this. Losing a pet is a heartbreaking experience. Hope you can take comfort in happy times with Fudge.

I'm so sorry to hear this. In fact, I have tears running down my face as I write.
    God bless you Fudge.
Love Kevin, Crystal, Christopher and especially Laura.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm so sorry to hear that Mr B but take comfort that he was giving a loving and wonderful life that he loved. Dog lovers know amongst us know the pain you feel right now.

Really sorry, you must be devastated. You obviously loved that dog - that showed in your recent updates.

My kids have lost a cat, guinea pigs, rabbits and lizards galore in the last couple of years - I would never let them have a dog. They didn't like me for it but I could never really express to them the level of attachment you get, and the level of heartbreak when they go. my mum and dad got a dog three weeks before I was born. I grew up with her and was closer to her than I was my own sister! ! I am close to 50 now and still remember the day she went like it was yesterday (I was 12). Thoughts are with you.

Sorry to hear that. I'm a hard faced cynical old b'stard at the best of times but I do know how much losing a pet can hurt. More than it should really, but we can't help it.

A long time ago now, those of us who Roundsman had labelled The Hartog Set (he used the term disparagingly, but we liked it) met up away from the BBS for the first time. We initially talked about football and this forum, as they were the things we all had in common. Everyone who uses the BBS, who have met in 'real life', will relate to the fact that we then discussed the various characters who frequent this place. That's just what you do. To prove we all spent far too much time on here, I asked everyone if they could name David in Lincoln's dogs. We all could, without missing a beat. Brad and Fudge have been part of this forum for as long as I remember and, apparently, as memorable as anyone who has ever posted.

My wife and I have just been down to the vets to see our beloved little boy.
He is in peace now. He looked so calm. I cuddled him and kissed him. I wept over him.
    We are in shreds.
They think it might have been a blood related cancer which is malignant and aggressive which attacked his system yesterday and finished him.
One left now, our one eyed Brad.

Sorry to hear that. Thankfully he didn't suffer at the end, that's all we can ask I suppose. Horrible losing a dog, no different to losing a human relation. Thoughts with you.

Bought the first dog in to my house earlier this year and even though he's only been with us a few months I've become really emotionally attached to him so I can understand your pain and your loss. Remember the good times with Fudge, I'm sure there were plenty.

    Very sad news.

Dogs are wonderful creatures. I wish they lived as long as humans.

    You never forget em.

Deepest condolences, although nothing can help now, the memories you have will live on with yourself. In that way, he will never leave you.

From what I've read on here, I'm sure Fudge had as good a life as any dog could wish for, having had such a loving and devoted friend like yourself at his side.

Oh how I hope that is true. There's a few dogs I'd like to be reunited with. My current dog is now 14 and not in the best of shape, just enjoying every day with him.

So do I. I currently have a small mongrel, Bella, who is 13 and a German Shepherd, Sable, who will be 11 at Christmas. Hopefully, I have another three waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
