May chat later about the hol, but first I want, no, NEED, a DVD recorder, and now decided I would like one with a built in Hard Drive. Any recommendations would be great please, im looking to order sooner rather than later. Possibly today. I have seen one though here; http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...m9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=88765&_LOC=UK

It looks a very good price to me, but any reviews of the product, good or bad feedback, would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Where is Roundsman when you need him?

Bought an LG yesterday, 100 hours on hard drive and videoplus. £250

Problem is I never realised that you can't record from cable while you're watching another channel so it's going back

Do you mean you cant watch another "cable" channel whilst watching another? Surely you can watch normal tv as it using a different aerial?

Unless you watch all your stations thru cable that is. I also have cable.

You can watch bbc 1 etc through a normal aerial while recording cable but I can't record for example, the Fantasy channel whilst watching Red Hot All Girl.

Also, if I'm out I can't set it to record Sky one then something later on E4.

Looks OK, but Mustek are a cheap make and they brand under the name Yamada and Umax. I have a Yamada DIVX player and it ha been fine. However, I know two people who have Yamada/Mustek DVD Recorders (without the hard drive), and they have had nowt but trouble with them. Dillengers recomendation of an LG is a good one, and check out LITE-ON - the best of the cheaper recorder manufacturers.

Do Telewest do a box like Sky+ ? Where you can record one cable channel whilst watching another.

And a good link there - got Sky+ ordered and installation for this Friday.
