    50000 x £35 = £1,375,000 purchase fund?

Either my calculator is wrong, or somebody is skimming a good bit of admin fees there!

It's a great idea that the fans own the club and take part in the running of it but isn't putting team selection etc. in their hands a recipe for disaster? Surely you need experienced staff to do that (if you don't then there a lot of people stealing money). I'm sure they'll be some footballing masterminds amongst the fans but you'll also have fans who've never seen them play putting their oar in. Indeed, you'd even get sabateurs in there! Imagine if the team was say Leeds... is it worth £35 to buy a vote so you can make bizarre team selections and scupper them good and proper? Tempting.

1 vote in 50,000 isnt going to change much though

True but it needn't be one vote... there could be hundreds or thousands of dodgy voters in there. Some of the current paid-up members won't agree with the team bought for a kick off. Yes, I know all these voters will have boosted the initial transfer kitty but then they have a lifetime of scuppering to look forward to... or do you need to rejoin every season? £35 input won't last very long in today's world. I realise all this stuff must have been considered but just exploring the possibilities here! It is a nice idea in principle so good luck to them.

yes its £35 every year. People are buying into it as a real life fantasy football club. members get to see clubs finances vote on kit suppliers and sponsors etc. everything to do with the club will need to be voted on before it goes ahead. EA sports has allready put some money into it and theres other companies wanting to invest in the idea but the members will have to vote on weather to accept the investment once a club is purchased.
