He said he wants to stay whatever division we're in and that all the chairman has to do is put the contract in front of him and he'll sign it.

    Makes you wonder.

i suppose the flip side is

do we want him whatever division we are in next season? i.e if we go up will we want a better centre back?

RE: i suppose the flip side is

I think he's good enough to play in the Championship. He's still young.

    Must be kept.

I see no reason why we can't offer him a contract now.

    Fair enough.

I can't think of any other reason so can't argue too much.

could just be the clubs policy to sort all contracts once we know what league we are in. Of course this could be a risky policy.

This is the flip side to Freedom of Contract

Clubs will refuse to offer contracts to players until it suits them , not the other way round . By the way Allen , who was it reading the final scores out ? When they started talking about Huddersfield not playing until tomorrow night and how it may affect the table , I was screaming abuse at the car radio ( see the earlier posts about my childish mood ) , as I wasn't in the slightest bit interested after being cheated out of three points today . Had I got hold of whoever was in the studio , I'm ashamed to say I'd have put him in A&E !!!(doh)
Needless to say , I'm now in the doghouse with The Boss due to my infantile rantings !:x

    after the last few years

its nice to have so much passion and will for the side to do well. There have been some depressing times. Its nice to be mad because we SHOULD have won instead of beacuse we were totaly rubbish and sat in the bottom half of the table

    Quite right too

Nothing worse than an 18st steelworker acting like a spoilt twelve year old ! You have high standards to maintain on 1575. The last thing you need is a childish , immature plonker smashing his fist through a wooden door at Oakwell , as well as at home!!!

Erm but why if he's happy to play in either division?

Surely we want to keep him no matter what?
