and he wants to come and watch the reds next season. Prob is he wears a knife as the 5 K's of his traditional dress. Do you think that he won't be let it with it. I think not?
he should have no problem as it is part of his religion...after all he walks around the streets with it.
if tha is a serious question of course he will not be let in with it. in my opinion a claim of discrimation on the grounds of religion is unlikely to be successful.
well as I say my gut instinct is that the club would be justified in not allowing him in with it. However I would need to do a little bit of research before giving a definitve answer. I would suggest that you contact the club well in advance. However if he wears it under his clothes and does not show it. I can't see that he will have a problem as nobody will no it is there.

As far asI know he's commiting an offence walking out of the house with it. The Sikhs tried to get out of wearing crash helmets but the authorities were having none of it.

Windy, under the law relating to offensive weapons, I think his religion may amount to a reasonble excuse. I'm not sure though but I think it does, simply from memory.
They are def aloud to wear it in public trust me. Thing is the ground is not defined as a public place as such. And def hasn't got to where a crash helmet, remember fools and horses.
Allowed not Girls Aloud lol. Yes Trottors crash turbans. hehehe. Itwas just one of Rachels old scarves wrapped around a helmet. Yes I think you're right Lazarou. Are you going to contact the club?
damn predictive text. Yep going to contact the club. If they say no I'm going to get him to put a claim in. Only joking. Think they will say no which is fair enough.
papa lazaruo, your Sikh friend should be knowledgable of the fact that he does NOT have to wear the 5ks continually and as such wearing a knife in an inappropriate place could be viewed or perceived as challenging behaviour. meaning, the exposure of a a knife in an environment noted for it's high level of negetive as well as positive emotion is unacceptable.
Can't he just not wear the knife if he's coming to the match Seems the most sensible thing to do to me.
My mate is a ninja... ...who also wants to come and watch the Reds next season. However, as part of his job, he's likely to be called out at any minute to assassinate the daimyo of the local Samurai, steal secrets from the Yakuza, or go have to go home to wash the pots. Will the club allow him to bring his ninjato, shuriken, sai, jitte, nekode, yari, flash powder, bo, jo, kyo-tetsu-shoge, poisons and washing up liquid into the ground? He won't get in the way. He'll happily sneak round among the rafters in the East Stand.
RE: My mate is a ninja... my mate is a pirate and he wants to swing across from the East Stand to behind the goal whilst firing cannons at the disabled section. Is this allowed?
RE: My mate is a ninja... My mate is a right Barsteward. He wants to know if he's allowed to chant racist slogans and go on the pitch. Will he be alright in the Ponty end?
