i disagree mate...daveys got the best out of him...hes got a personal trainer and stopped drinking...every player whos out of contract is "playing for a contract" its their livelyhood and hes gone on record saying he wants to stay!
He's had a nightmare season with breaking his collarbone in pre season. Must have been tough not having a pre season and without doubt its hard to just get into playing again if your not fit. Its a shame as no doubt if he was fit we would not be in this position. Fait play to him for getting himself fit off his own back and saving us. Get him signed up for next season, but he might be in two minds about signing after been booed a few times earlier in the season when he was playing with a bit of weight on him.
